In rare cases, you may find that one or more video segments are not loading in your course. You may get a blank screen, or a message in the embedded video player asking you to request access. To solve these problems, take the following steps:

  1. Reload the page
     Especially if you are receiving a blank screen, sometimes a simple reload will resolve the issue.
  2. Clear your browser cache
    Here are instructions for clearing your cache in Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge.
  3. Reset the video player
     Sometimes the problem is caused by a cookie expiring in your browser. Resetting the video player will likely solve it. To do this:
    • From the Canvas site for the course, click on “classroom recordings” or “Panopto recordings” on the left-hand menu.
    • Wait until the page fully loads.
    • Then navigate back to the video segment you were trying to watch.
